Now I have a machine gun! Ho-Ho-Ho!
I had a dream last night about one of my absolute favorite men on the planet, the delectable Alan Rickman. I was 13 years old when I was introduced (via film) to Mr. Rickman and what can I say? The man sends me.
So I was thinking about that in the shower this morning (get your minds out of the gutter) and I was thinking about the roles I've seen him in that really do it for me. I intend here to count them down.
#3- Severus Snape
Snape-a-licious! I don't get it, who exactly are they wanting us to root for? The filmmakers of the Harry Potter series are making evil pretty damned sexy. I mean c'mon, they've got Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort, Jason Issacs as Lucius Malfoy and Alan Rickman as Severus Snape. Of course the question of Snapes guilt is still in question. I'm one of those sad adults who has read all the Potter books (twice!). Personally I don't think Snape is evil, but all that will be resolved with the final installment (whenever it comes out). Have the filmmakers even read the books? Snape is supposed to be ugly and greasy and hateful. Why then does he make my heart go pitty-pat?So I was thinking about that in the shower this morning (get your minds out of the gutter) and I was thinking about the roles I've seen him in that really do it for me. I intend here to count them down.

#2- Hans Gruber
My first introduction to Alan Rickman was through the action blockbuster Die Hard. As funny and charming the increasingly bloody Bruce Willis was through that movie, why was I secretly rooting for that suave, sophisticated, and deeply sinister bad guy? Perhaps it was just the hormones just kicking in. Yum!
#1-Colonel Brandon
From possibly evil, pure evil and now to wholesomely good. Oddly enough, his sexiest role for me is the unassuming, loyal, and terribly sweet Colonel Brandon in Sense & Sensibility. What is Kate Winslet thinking during most of that movie, pining for that weasel Willoughby? The goods is right in front of her. Silly girl!
Ok, so am I weird? Am I alone? I usually liked the unlikely, is this still the case?
